Pressing the button in the back of the frame allows the barrel-receiver assembly to tilt up and off the grip frame without the use of tools. The pistol also maintains the cylindrical receiver and bolt design characteristic of the original Ruger Mark I pistol.
The construction of the Ruger Mark IV Standard is simple yet durable, providing reliable performance whenever you need it. The cold hammer-forged barrel results in ultra-precise rifling that provides exceptional accuracy and longevity, while the Internal cylindrical bolt construction ensures permanent sight-to-barrel alignment and higher accuracy potential. The Ruger Mk 4 also features a one-piece CNC-machined grip frame, a contoured ejection port, a push-button magazine release, a drop-free mag system, easy-to-grasp bolt ears, and an ambidextrous safety. This Mk 4 Standard model also has fixed sights but is drilled and tapped for a Weaver or Picatinny rail. It also boasts an aerospace-grade aluminum receiver, a 6″ barrel, and checkered grips. It also ships with (2) 10-round magazines.
