Florida Self-Defense — Stand Your Ground
Florida’s Stand Your Ground law (Statute 776.012) allows the use of deadly force without duty to retreat if you reasonably believe it’s necessary to prevent death or great bodily harm. This applies anywhere you have a legal right to be. Florida also has Castle Doctrine extending to your home, vehicle, and workplace with a presumption of reasonable fear.
