Crafted from forged 7075-T6 aluminum, the M5E1 upper combines rugged durability with precision machining. The integrated handguard mounting platform is a hallmark of Aero’s enhanced design, providing a stronger and more consistent interface between the receiver and the free-floating handguard. The included 1.78-inch ID handguard comfortably clears most muzzle devices and 1.5-inch suppressors, while maintaining rigidity for optics and accessories. The forward assist and ejection port cover come factory installed, streamlining your assembly process.

The 22″ fluted stainless steel barrel provides a premium shooting experience with increased surface area for better cooling and reduced weight without sacrificing strength. The matte bead-blasted finish complements the barrel’s clean lines, while the A2-style flash suppressor ensures minimal visual signature at the muzzle. This upper assembly does not include a bolt carrier group or charging handle, allowing you to tailor your build to your preferred components. The .2795″ pivot/takedown pin holes ensure compatibility with all standard DPMS Gen I pattern lowers.
