Ruger SFAR Features
The Ruger SFAR is a new benchmark for modern AR-15 Tactical rifles chambered in .308 Winchester. The rifle features a CNC-machined bolt and barrel extension crafted from high-strength super alloy steel, outperforming conventional C158 components in both strength and durability. A free-floating 15″ M-LOK handguard provides ample space for AR-15 accessories, while the 5/8″-24 threaded barrel supports a wide range of muzzle devices including brakes, flash hiders, and suppressors.
This AR-15 Caliber .308 rifle includes Ruger’s two-port Boomer muzzle brake to significantly reduce felt recoil, making it ideal for extended shooting or defensive applications. The chrome-lined 8620 bolt carrier, dual ejectors, DLC-coated titanium firing pin, and optimized extractor contribute to exceptional reliability. The Ruger Elite 452 two-stage trigger delivers a crisp 4.5-pound break, while the adjustable Magpul MOE SL stock and MOE grip enhance control and ergonomics. The SFAR accepts standard SR-25 / AR-10 pattern magazines and includes one 20-round PMAG.
