Why the Gun World Waited for the VP9CC
We’ve stocked every VP9 variant since the original hit our shelves — the VP9, VP9SK, VP9L, VP9 Tactical. Every time HK released a new version, customers asked the same question: “When are they making a real carry gun?” The VP9SK was close, but too thick and heavy for true concealed carry. The CC9 answered the size question but made compromises on materials and manufacturing to hit a lower price point.
The VP9CC is the gun those customers were asking for. German-made, VP9 trigger, micro-compact dimensions, and a factory red dot that sits lower than anything on the market.
What HK Actually Delivered
This is a ground-up design, not a VP9 with material removed. The frame is new. The slide is new. The magazine is proprietary. HK started with the target dimensions — under 1.2 inches wide, under 18 ounces, 3-inch-class barrel — and engineered everything to fit without sacrificing the VP9’s trigger feel or barrel quality.
The result: 6.02 inches long, 4.41 inches tall with the flush mag, 1.14 inches wide, 17.64 ounces empty. Those numbers put it directly in P365/Hellcat territory, but with German barrel steel and the VP9 trigger.
The Factory Optic Advantage
Buying an optics-ready pistol and then buying an optic separately means adapter plates, fitting issues, and a trip to the gunsmith for zeroing. The VP9CC optics-equipped model ships with the Vortex Defender CCW already mounted on HK’s proprietary deep-cut system. The optic sits 40% lower in the slide than aftermarket adapter setups. You open the box, confirm zero, and carry.
Magazines and Capacity
Two magazines in the box: 10-round flush for maximum concealment, 12-round extended for full capacity. The extended mag gives you 12+1 — competitive with the Hellcat Pro’s 15+1 when you factor in that the VP9CC is meaningfully thinner and lighter.

Questions We’re Getting
Is this the same as the HK CC9?
No. The CC9 is HK’s US-designed micro-compact at $699-799. The VP9CC is designed and manufactured in Germany with premium materials, a different trigger system, and the proprietary deep optic mount. Different guns, same brand.
When will more VP9CC magazines be available?
HK typically makes accessories available through their US distributor within 60-90 days of launch. We’ll stock them as soon as they’re released. Sign up for notifications on our site.
Can I mount a different optic on the VP9CC?
The VP9CC uses the Shield RMSc footprint. Any optic with that footprint (Holosun 407K/507K, Shield RMSc, etc.) will mount directly. The included Vortex Defender CCW is hard to beat for carry, though.
Does HK offer a warranty on the VP9CC?
HK provides a limited lifetime warranty to the original purchaser. Their warranty service in Columbus, GA has a strong reputation for fast turnaround.
