The Dissent Mk4 features a bufferless receiver designed for use with folding stocks and braces, suitable for intermediate cartridges like the popular 5.56x45mm NATO. It utilizes CMMG’s patented Compact Action system, enabling reliable direct impingement operation without a buffer tube assembly. The Dissent also includes a side charging handle forward of the action, facilitating easier manipulation for chambering rounds or clearing malfunctions. The non-reciprocating charging handle is reversible for left-handed users.

Newly introduced for 2025, the Dissent Mk4 is chambered in Hornady’s .338 ARC cartridge. This cartridge aims to combine the AR15 platform’s versatility with the stopping power of a large bore caliber. The model features a Z-series linear compensator and a proprietary MLOK handguard, delivering a unique shooting experience. This pistol configuration boasts a 10.5-inch barrel and a Midnight Bronze Cerakote finish. The receiver is equipped with a 1913 picatinny adapter for mounting aftermarket pistol braces. A 10-round magazine is included with the purchase.
